Would you like to make 2024 your best year ever?
Would you like to make 2024 your best year ever?
Most of us would.
Many years I go through a series of exercises call Living Your Best Ever by Darren Hardy.
The book presents some helpful and fascinating exercises that enable you to look back to gain perspective, take inventory of where you are, consider where you need to go, and make a plan to get there.
I enjoy the process and find it helpful. I’ve been doing something like this for over a decade.
It’s painful to see how similar my goals for 2013 and 2023 are in many areas. I’m confronted with my limitations and my characteristic struggles.
Getting smacked in the face with the reality of your flaws and failures brings one of a few responses out of people. Some are defeated by discouragement. Some are defiant and dedicate themselves to conquering their demons.
I’d like to recommend the path of dependance as your path to the best year ever.
Dependence brings together the humility of knowing our limitations and the responsibility following Christ’s call.
You should long to accomplish great things in 2024! Every goal should be considered fruit of Christ in you.
Dependence on Christ will bear much fruit! Apart from Christ we can’t do anything that matters or lasts.
I’m sure you want to make 2024 a great year. Your disposition and situation either have you feeling optimistic or overwhelmed.
Fix your eyes on Christ in 2024 and make dependence on Him your resolution!
Don’t resolve, don’t resign… remain!
5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
