Perspective for the Rest of the Week

What on your calendar has your stomach in knots this week?

What gets your mind racing?

Many weeks we’ve got something… that one thing… a meeting, a conversation, a bill… that hangs like a dark cloud.

“Peace be with you.” These are the words Jesus met the disciples with when He rose from the grave.

The resurrected King tells His people, “You can rest easy.”

The disciples can sleep differently because all will be right with the world when the Jesus finishes His work.

Jesus offers peace with God. In His death on the cross He took our sin on himself. Jesus resolved the hostility our sin brings with God and offers reconciliation with God.

Because of Jesus you can be confident that all is right between you and God.

It will take a moment for the full impact of peace with God to be seen. But peace with God is the foundation of true rest and the fountain of lasting hope.

The world will turn out exactly as God intends it. The Peace Christ offers you is the confidence that God intends the world to end up with your blessing.

All the promises of God will be answered yes toward you in Christ.

Whatever has you in knots this week will weave right into God’s good design in the end.

When it’s all said and done, and all is right with the world, you’ll see exactly where this meeting, bill, conversation, etc. fits in.

The Spirit knows the mind of God. In prayer, you can walk with Him around each turn and untie each knot till that final day!
