For Parents ALREADY tired of Summer Break

a real answer

Summer “started” yesterday.

All four kids (9, 7, 5, & 3) were back together with all the energy they could muster.

They’re great kids but they did plenty to earn plenty of discipline yesterday. Before 8AM it was clear, there would be no rods spared.

Naturally, my wife was feeling tired last night.

We love our kids. We see the gift. We relish the moments. And we’re still humans with limited energy who get older each year!

This morning I prayed that the Holy Spirit would move in our home and children. It’s raining and I asked Him to give peace, compliance, and kindness to the kids and patience to Abi.

I got up from praying…

I should write you all sometime about how many times I’ve seen an answered prayer immediately upon getting up from kneeling…. today, I’ll just share this one…

I got up from praying to read this text, “Sweet bud working on his Bible reading” from Abi.

It came with this picture…

“Answer to prayer,” I replied.

That’s it. That’s the post today, church fam.
