Do you know God’s will for your life today?
Today feels like any other day for most of us. There are special dates that mark special events. There are days where you wake up feeling special, “good sleep, glad heart, can’t lose!”
Even the special dates and days can blend over time.
Most days feel like yesterday. We have things to do and places to go but we know that even next month we won’t remember today’s happenings.
The humdrum of life can lull us to sleep. We lose sight of offering today to the Lord. Today is an opportunity to worship. Today is an act of worship! As the Psalmist says, “This is the Day that the Lord has made!”
Prayer is the pathway to offering your day as an act of worship.
Do you need to spend the day in prayer to offer today as an act of worship? Absolutely.
Do you need to cancel your schedule and spend your day kneeling? Probably not.
In prayer you fit together the world God placed you in with the Word He has revealed by the Spirit He gives. You don’t always reschedule your calendar (sometimes you do). You respond prayerfully to the curriculum God scheduled (your calendar) from the syllabus He gave (the Bible) by the Instructor He sent (the Spirit).
Paul prayed for the Colossians to receive wisdom and insight from the Spirit so they could live a life pleasing to the Lord. I’m praying that for you today. Will you join me in praying for you throughout your day?
Prayerfully respond to what God has planned by what God has said with the Spirit He gives– I’m convinced that’s your path for living God’s will today!
Jesus Over Everything!

PS. Resurrection, I’m trying to write to you more often. I enjoy writing and I believe it has been helpful for some of you. I’m also trying to figure out how to “unclog” emails… I don’t want you to have 40 emails from the church that all look the same. That’s why I found this tool that will help me send my pastoral writings to you in a different way. You can subscribe or unsubscribe as you see fit– you’ll still be getting church information appropriately.
